I had been getting massages for my back problems for the past 9 years when my massage therapist injured her arm. When I first talked to Kathy Musselman on the phone she listened to all my concerns and kept them in mind when I got my first massage. Kathy accommodates my wishes every time I get my massage.
She is well versed in many different types of massages and I have had several different ones and found them beneficial. At all times she is a very professional, warm, and a caring person. I always feel comfortable going to Kathy and my back always feels better afterwards. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Massage Therapy at Our Spa Can Help
Muscle pain, stress, tension, TMJ, carpal tunnel, and arthritis
can all be eased with massage therapy from Musselman Mountain
Massage. Our spa offers different types of massage therapies to help
you get the relief you need whether you suffer from the aches and
pains of arthritis or the tight, sore muscles most commonly from
overuse.
Benefits of Massage Therapy
- Muscular pain relief
- Fewer headaches
- Increased sense of relaxation and stress relief
- Increased sense of “well-being”
- Increase in mental alertness
- Massage therapy aids in the treatment of depression by
release of endorphins, “the feel-good” hormones
- Stimulation of all organs in the body
- Massages increase blood circulation, which improves both
recovery time and immune system functions
- Helps to decrease blood pressure by relaxation techniques
- Resolution of chronic edema (swelling of legs from fluids)
- Increase joint movement and flexibility
- Increase of muscular activity
There are many documented benefits of massage therapy. Everyone
can benefit from the sense of relaxation, well being, and increased
mental alertness. Increased blood flow and circulation help
stimulate the organs and immune systems of the body, aiding in
self-healing. Swelling from edema, blood pressure, and muscular pain
are all relieved with massage therapy.
Thanks to Kathy, I now call myself a "massage disciple."
A vertical eye muscle problem causing diplopia (double vision)-in turn causing a "head tilt" which fostered some heavy-duty neck and shoulder pain-led me to seek out massage therapy. I called Kathy Musseleman because of her nursing background.
Both the neurologist and the eye specialist I consulted had no "real" answers why this was happening. They only offered to "treat the symptoms" with a prism in my glasses lens. After some research, I started to have my own theories based on the experiences I was having with it.
Kathy was always receptive to listening and extremely helpful in trying to figure it out. After a couple of weeks of massage, my "tilt" and pain was subsiding which was such a relief in and of itself. But, we also noticed that when Kathy would do a sinus treatment on me, for about a half-hour afterwards, my eye would go into it's diplopia state and then stop completely for a few weeks!
I have since gotten a bottle of eucalyptus oil and dab it on my sinus pressure points every day. I also continue to go for regular "maintenance" massages and so far I've been without a diplopia episode for over six months!
Thanks Kathy! I'm so glad to have found such a great therapist. The whole experience (not just the eye process) has been wonderful.
